FONDAM
is currently developing 163 Environmental projects:
- 78 projects correspond to the Invitations performed.
- 22 projects were developed as Co--financings
- 6 projects are being performed as Development Axes,and
- 57 projects correspond to the Small Projects Program.
It
is important to highlight the Eco-business as a different sub-area, because
of its very special nature within the topic of the sustainable management
of natural resources. These make up for 14% of the projects.
On the other hand, the matter of institutional strengthening for environmental
management and education –which is transversal to many projects- is also
highlighted as a sub-area, and is comprised by those projects specifically
targeted to strengthening institutional activities and the citizenship participation
in the defense of environmental conservation and education, both formal and
informal.
In this way, the environmental education of teachers, students and inhabitants
is emphasized. This sub-area comprises 13% of environmental projects.
