The first three years of children's life involve the fastest period of their human development. In this period children grow (in height and weight) and develop capacities that will condition their performance during their adult life. Therefore, the relevance of investing in childhood is highlighted because when we offer them optimal conditions for their growth and early development, good investment is being made for the future of our nation.

19 are being held as Small Special Projects.
The Children Survival and Development Area has incorporated two of the five sub thematic areas: Nutrition / Nourishing Security & Family Violence, and Child Abuse Prevention and Reduction; nevertheless, it should be pointed out that any proposal of intervention must be framed within the integral development concept of the human being; therefore, sub thematic areas of health promotion and prevention; mother and child duo protection, and bio-psychosocial development stimulation are to be considered main axes.
